About the artist:

Anna Barros is a multimedia artist, author, curator, and professor.  She lived in Los Angeles for seven years, where she completed an bachelor's in Fine Arts at the Otis College of Art and Design.

While in the United States, Barros was greatly influenced by the particular quality of light in the Los Angeles area, and also learned greatly by working with California artists who explored the use of light in installation spaces.  In her own work, this experience has translated as the development of digital and installation art.

Barros later received an MFA at the School of Communicaton and Art at the University of São Paulo (USP), and a PhD in Communication and Semiotics at the Pontificate Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP).
